Jason is a 13.1 hand, five-year-old Fell Pony licensed with the FPS. He was imported in July of 2006 as a yearling from the Littletree Stud in England. He comes from a long line of quality Fell Ponies known for their character, movement, and ample, correct bone. As a four year old he has over 8 inches of bone and plenty of straight feather. He was named Littletree Born Supremacy as a reflection of his quality and how he stood out from the rest of the foals.

Jason's movement, conformation, and personality are true to type for a Fell Pony and exceptional for a pony of his size. He demonstrates intelligence, confidence, and a willingness to learn in addition to having a ground-covering trot and a large, balanced canter. While he may be a small pony, he does not have a small pony trot. Adults are often surprised at how comfortable they feel when riding him and how uncomplicated he is. He has the correct Fell Pony rolling movement, with equal use of both front and hind legs and bend in joints.

As a weanling his movement stood him apart from the herd, and we look forward to seeing how he progresses in his training. He has shown potential in both dressage and jumping arenas, and is an excellent choice to maintain pony size, add bone to a lght-boned mare, and all while retaining athleticism.

Update: As of the fall of 2009, Jason is gelded. Due to my not owning a farm and relying upon boarding, I decided that the best option would be to collect frozen semen and geld him. This is not due to his personality as a stallion, as he could be ridden side by side with mares, was excellent in the arena and on the trails, and was progressing as I would have expected any young stallion to progress. It is due to the fact that I do not own my own facility and so rely upon boarding barns, which is a very hard situation to have with a stallion. I also needed to be more mobile, and this just became too hard to do with him as a stallion. As a gelding, he is presented with far more opportunities to progress and realize his full potential. I want to make it clear that the gelding was due to no fault of his own but my own circumstances, and also that he still is available to breed via frozen semen. The Fell Pony Society is aware of the situation and has agreed to honor any breedings to him.
